Detachable Sleeves & Boleros: One Gown, Two Looks

A bride doesn't wear one look on her wedding day. She stands at the altar in one version of herself, then dances the night away in another. A handful of Rêves gowns make that easy, with detachable sleeves, straps, and sheer boleros built right in, so the ceremony dress and the reception dress can be the exact same gown.

Most dresses make her choose between the two. Studio Levana doesn’t. A handful of our gowns come with detachable sleeves, straps, or sheer boleros built right in, so the ceremony dress and the reception dress can be the exact same gown, one that changes with her instead of asking her to change out of it.

One Moment Away From a Whole New Look

Some gowns are dramatic from the first walk down the aisle, and stay that way all night unless something changes. Fleur is built from heavily beaded lace, with a basque-waist corset holding the bodice and an unpleated A-line skirt that falls into a sweeping train. Its detachable lace sleeves come off easily, and with two sheer lace boleros to layer instead, a bride can go from full coverage during the ceremony to bare shoulders on the dance floor in less time than it takes to reapply lipstick.

Add a Layer, Not a New Dress

Sometimes the change isn’t about removing something. It’s about adding it back. Noemie is cut from delicate botanical lace over a sheer illusion skirt, light enough that the whole gown feels like it’s floating. The detachable sleeves and two sheer boleros aren’t there to cover something up. They’re there so a bride can shift the mood of the dress itself, dressing it down for photos outside or back up for a cooler evening, without ever changing out of it.

From Structured to Relaxed in Seconds

A neckline can carry a lot of the dress’s personality, and Sheina proves it. Hand-applied leafy beaded lace sits over softly shimmering dotted tulle, with a basque-waist corset and a deep illusion plunge defining the bodice before the skirt flows out gracefully. Detachable off-the-shoulder tulle straps and two sheer lace boleros mean that plunge can stay dramatic for the ceremony, then soften instantly the moment a bride wants something a little more relaxed.

Two Looks, One Dress

Fleur, Noemie, and Sheina all approach it differently, sleeves that come off, boleros that layer back on, straps that shift the whole neckline. What they share is the same idea underneath: a wedding dress shouldn’t force a bride to pick one version of herself for the whole day.

Here’s how it shows up in three gowns that don’t have much else in common: Ines, Corinne Fitted, and Yvette Fitted.

A-Line vs. Fitted: Choosing Your Rêves Silhouette

Five gowns in the Rêves collection come in two versions — same fabric, same signature corset, two different silhouettes. A-line skirts sweep and move; Fitted silhouettes follow the body before releasing into a train. Here’s how that choice plays out across Claire, Manon, Anaïs Sparkly, Corinne, and Lise — so you can find which one is you.
